UW-Madison ACT Scores - How do I compare?

I'm thinking about applying to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and wanted to know the typical range of ACT scores for their admitted students. Where do I stand if my ACT score is a 30? Thanks for your help!

With an ACT score of 30, you fall within the middle 50% range of admitted students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Their middle 50% ACT score range is between 28 and 32. This means that 25% of accepted students scored below a 28, and another 25% scored above a 32.

While your ACT score is an important component of your application, remember that UW-Madison also considers your academic performance, high school coursework, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation. While a 30 is a competitive score, ensuring that other aspects of your application are also strong will give you an even better chance of being accepted.

UW-Madison does not require but still accepts the ACT and the SAT, even though it is a test-optional school. If you believe that your ACT score of 30 effectively represents your academic potential, feel free to include it in your application. Alternatively, if you think that your academic profile and extracurricular accomplishments better represent your potential as a student, you may choose to apply without submitting test scores.
